Week 1 - Guerrilla Marketing Ch. 1
Guerrilla Marketing is defined by Oxford Dictionary as: innovative, unconventional and low-cost marketing techniques aimed at obtaining maximum exposure for a product. In the first chapter of the book, we learn that marketing in general is a process rather than an event. This is representative of the ever-changing environment that is marketing. There is no cookie-cutter approach to marketing, the best technique a marketer can use is the ability to adapt to change.
This semester, I look forward to applying certain guerrilla marketing techniques that will allow me to gain exposure on a faux product of my choosing. My only experience marketing prior to this class was in a Social Media Marketing class from Dr. Kelsey, in which I created a facebook page for a marketing consultation firm. I was able to see all of the data behind the exposure my page received, and I look forward to applying some of those techniques.
